Lawn Care FAQ

Is a Lime Application necessary?

Yes, lime is a very important part of all effective turf care programs. Lime raises the pH level of the soil to a more neutral level. Between six and seven is the optimal level to ensure your grass absorbs nutrients properly, builds strong roots, deep green color, and resistance to disease. In Georgia, there are lots of trees and frequently lots of rain. Runoff from the trees and almost everything else causes the pH level to drop and become more acidic. One lime application per year, keeps your lawn at an optimal pH level.

Is Aeration a requirement with your program?

No, it is not required but is highly recommended. Aeration gives your lawn a thicker greener appearance, deeper root systems and much healthier constitution to resist disease. This occurs because aeration loosens and recycles soil which makes it more porous, improves nutrient and water absorption by the roots, reduces thatch buildup and speeds up horizontal spreading of the grass which fills in gaps.

How long has WB Turf Care been in business?

WB Turf Care was started in July of 2026. A very new business but with 29 years of ownership experience. The owner started a full service landscape maintenance business in 1997 with his brother in the Dunwoody area. The service area never ended up reaching Forsyth County, despite a ton of business growth. WB Turf Care's owner has lived in Forsyth County for 25 years and always wanted to start a separate business covering his home area. The customer gets the energy and motivation a new business always has combined with 29 years of ownership experience in this industry.

What is WB Turf Care's current service area?

Currently, WB Turf Care will be focusing on earning customers in Forsyth County and southern Dawson County. Having a narrow service area will allow us to provide outstanding customer service and quality.
